DCUCD v3.0 - Designing Cisco Virtualized Data Centers
The Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Design (DCUCD) v3.0 is a five-day instructor-led course with lab exercises
that help prepare the student for the certification exam 642-982 DCUCD. The course content is primarily focused on
the Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS) and to a lesser degree also on Cisco Nexus 1000v Virtual Switch, Cisco
Nexus 7000 Series Switches, Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches, Cisco MDS Series Switches, and VMware vSphere 4.
The course starts with an overview of Data Center Computing solutions and then explains the design aspects of the
Cisco Data Center Unified Computing solution. The Delivery Lab for this course is accessed using a remote access
procedure coupled with a GUI application that provides connectivity to all lab devices.
DCUCI v3.0 - Data Center Unified Computing Implementation
This five-day hands-on course focuses on the Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS) deployment and operations.
Participants will learn how to configure and manage Cisco UCS servers with consolidated I/O networking for LAN and
SAN connectivity and how to virtualize server properties to enable simple and rapid mobility of server operating
system images between physical servers. Participants will practice configuring fault tolerance, implementing a
multitenant management model, backing up and restoring system configurations, and using the built-in monitoring and
troubleshooting tools in Cisco UCS Manager.
