Description
The Implementing the Cisco Nexus 7000 and 5000 Switch course is a three-day instructor-led course with lab exercises that are intended to prepare students to install, configure and support the Cisco Nexus 7000 and 5000 Switches in an Ethernet environment. The course schedule consists of approximately 50 percent lecture and 50 percent lab exercises. The Delivery Lab for this course is accessed using a remote access procedure coupled with a GUI application that provides connectivity to all lab devices. An alterative to using Skyline’s labs is the “Just in Time” Training offering where the customer equipment is used for the training.Objectives
Deploy, configure and troubleshoot Ethernet based data center networks using the Cisco Nexus 7000 and 5000 Switches.
- Describe the enhancements associated with the Cisco NX-OS Software over previous switch OSs
- Identify product placement within the Cisco Nexus Platform Family
- Describe the migration of data center architectures, including unified I/O and unified fabric
Prerequisites
- Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND1) or equivalent
- Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND2) or equivalent
- Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN) or equivalent
Who Should Attend
The primary audience is those individuals involved in the technical handling of Cisco Nexus 7000 and 5000 platforms and solutions, namely installing, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting Data Center equipment, specifically the Nexus 7000 and 5000 Switches in existing Ethernet environments. In this course, the target audience will be referred to generically as technicians.
