The following is an overview of the benefits of Skyline's SMARTnet Maintenance Management Program or "Build a Budget" program.

Build a Budget

A program whose implementation guarantees a monetary savings that will increase the cash flow and profitability of your company with no (read "zero") additional investment".

It's worth repeating, Skyline Credits are FREE and redeemable*, on a dollar-for-dollar basis for any Cisco Networking Courses taught by Cisco Certified Instructors, or for IP Telephony consulting delivered by Certified Telephony Experts, or for any Cisco hardware products or for network security evaluation, network security design, installation and implementation.

The total number of FREE credits is a variable and is dependent upon the discount from the list price of the SMARTnet Maintenance that is purchased. As a general rule, around 10% for the 3-year purchase price of SMARTnet maintenance is "given" back as Skyline credits.

Price Protection

The price for Cisco SMARTnet Maintenance purchased from Skyline is constant, (fixed or unvarying) for the duration of the contract, whether you sign a two, three or more, year deal. WE GUARANTEE NO PRICE INCREASE. You will receive a guaranteed price freeze for your SMARTnet Maintenance backed by Cisco’s Award Winning Customer Service Team.

Year over year, Cisco, INCREASES the price of SMARTnet. With Skyline's SMARTnet Maintenance Management Program, the price is frozen for as long as you contract is valid.

Enterprise Management

Skyline will maintain an active database of each maintenance item being covered by SMARTnet. This data will be coordinated with Cisco’s database to ensure that coverage is accurate. Every time an item is added, it will be checked to guarantee that it is not a duplicate. This all-inclusive information is accessible by you, through our unique, customized, password protected database on Skyline's website.

Individual Record Management

Each record in the Enterprise Management database will contain the serial number of the asset being maintained, the physical address of each asset, the list price of each item of maintenance, the actual price of the current contract for each item, the Start Date of the coverage, the End Date of the coverage.

Failure Management

A record of each call to Cisco's TAC will be maintained. The information reflected will include: date and time of call, serial number of failing unit, duration of outage, and identification of the "fix". A summary report of failures, fixes and cumulative downtime will also be available.

Skyline Credits

A pro-rated portion of the profit realized from the sale of the SMARTnet maintenance will be given back to the client by Skyline in the form of Skyline Credits*. These credits can be redeemed to purchase seats in Skyline's Instructor Led Training classes or to purchase on-site professional services by Skyline's onsite staff CCIEs or to purchase additional Cisco hardware and software.

Getting Started

Sign a Cisco "Customer Consent Form". This signed form allows Skyline “read only” access to the current SMARTnet maintenance contracts that you specify, for which you would like quotes.

This starts the audit process and allows Skyline:

To check for duplicate serial numbers and to prepare a rough estimate of the numbers of Skyline Credits that will be available.
To evaluate any discrepancies (if any) and resolve them by coordinating with the Cisco GSM and/or by physical inspection by Skyline engineers.
To devise and present to you, various scenarios such as trade offs of low price vs. Skyline Credits vs. Skyline's Instant Machine. All potential options will be presented, and discussed, in great detail, for your specific requirements.
To prepare the final documentation for your approval and execution.
To order the maintenance.
To originate the Enterprise database for your use.
